The "Washout Lane" is the informal term for the walk off the training base for Mobile Infantry recruits who choose to quit before their training is complete.
History[]
After recruit member Breckinridge was accidentally killed by Djana'D during a live fire training exercise due to his helmet malfunction, Djana'd signed 12-40-A to quit after the terrible incident she caused. Before she approached Washout Lane, she looked at Rico at the window of the commanding office, crying, while Rico looked at her with a worried expression. Similarly, Rico had also signed his 12-40-A and was on his way to walk out as well right before the entire camp went on alert to the Destruction of Buenos Aires. Starship Troopers (1997 film)
