"Gunfodder" was a Mobile Infantry Elite Trooper from the Roughnecks K-12 Team.
History[]
During the Battle of Fort Casey, when Gunfodder was retreating to the FAS Alesia, his left hand was badly wounded by a Warrior Bug. Shock Jock came to his aid and helped him get to the ship.
After boarding the Alesia, Shock Jock took Gunfodder to the surgery room for further treatment. Judging from the condition, Shock Jock told him that the wounded arm had to be removed. All Gunfodder asked was he didn't want his family know things about his arm. Shock Jock managed to replace Gunfodder's left arm with a standard issued prosthetic arm and notified him that the arm could be modified in black markets back on Terra. Gunffoder was satisfied with his new arm, wondering why Shock Jock was nervous since it should be good as others — but Shock Jock told Gunfodder that he was his first living trooper he worked on.
Before a briefing started, Gunfodder and Shock Jock entered the room together. Lieutenant Daugherty thought he was in medical, while he replied his condition wasn't so bad.
Gunfodder then joined the mission to search the missing John A. Warden. He was assigned to the Team-02 along with the K-12 troopers and some from the A-01. A while after the John A. Wardern was found, the troopers found out it had been taken over by the Bugs. During the retreat, when he almost made to the air lock, he was knocked down by a Warrior Bug before his prosthetic was snapped off by the Bug. He tried to fight back, but his rifle was jammed. Shock Jock, who was right in the back of him, again retrieved the wounded Gunfodder. However, Gunfodder died soon afterward after he said "I am the only one of your patients that lives". Notes[]
- It is unknown how he was wounded so badly to cause his death. It is assumed his cause of death is due to the impact from being knocked down by a Warrior Bug. Another theory is that it is due to the shock of having his prosthetic arm (possibly connected to his veins and cells all the way to the brain required to move like a regular arm) forcefully detached, thus causing brain damage and eventually leading to his death.
