The Sixth Mobile Infantry Division[1] is a frontline division which saw much action in the Bug War.

History[]

The 6th Division of the Mobile Infantry was the unit deployed at the front for most major battles between the United Citizen Federation and the Arachnids during the Bug War, including combats on Zegema Beach, Klendathu, Tango Urilla, Planet-P, and the outer rings, as well as Roku San during the Second Bug War.

After the basic training at Camp Currie, Johnny Rico, Dizzy Flores, Ace Levy, Kitten Smith, Shujumi, and Katrina McIntire were transferred to Willie's Wildcats under the 6th Division Mobile Infantry for the Klendathu campaign upon the beginning of the Bug War.

Retired officer Jean Rasczak were enlisted again as a Mobile Infantry and led Rasczak's Roughnecks, which participated battles in Zegema Beach, Tango Urilla, and Planet-P. Starship Troopers (1997 film)

During the Second Bug War, a unit of 6th Mobile Infantry Division was commanded by Colonel Rico and it was stationed at Roku San. There, the unit entrenched and defended a farming region of the planet, which had become infested with Arachnids. The unit maintained position on Roku San for a periods until the Battle of Roku San, which was caused by Sky Marshall Omar Anoke as he breached the Electric Perimeter Fence. During the battle, the unit was defeated and left with few surviors who were rescued after the incident when Arachnids had moved on. Colonel Rico survives the battle but was blamed for the fall of Roku San and sentenced to death. However, Johnny was rescued by General Dix Hauser, who had him transferred to the Marauder Project along with several troopers used to stationed in Roku San, handpicked by Johnny.
