The 32nd Tech Brigade was an active unit of the Mobile Infantry that fought during the First Bug War. During a battle on planet Zulu Alpha, deep in the Arachnid Quarantine Zone, the brigade was annihilated, with one member becoming infected by a Control Bug.
History[]
During the Battle of Zulu Alpha Mobile Infantry forces became heavily overrun and forced to retreat across the planet. During this time unit Bravo Six which had become attached with General Shepherd was surrounded by Warrior Bugs on a small hill. The platoon managed to fight its way out of the encirclement, however in doing so became separated from General Shepherd. The General being temporarily lost was surrounded and alone by Arachnids when two troopers appeared and killed his attackers. One of these troopers was Ari Peck of the 32nd Tech Brigate a ill looking man. The general then escaped to Hotel Delta 1-8-5 with these two troopers and another unconious trooper. What the general did not know however, was that these three troopers including Ari had been captured previously by the Arachnids and had Control Bugs planted into them. These troopers were technically now dead, but the Control Bugs within them could control their bodies and voices to imitate humans.
Inside the outpost now Ari's head was ripped off and a large cluster of Control Bug larvee were removed to use to infect all the troopers within the base. Ultimately this Arachnid plan failed as the Control Bugs were discovered and stopped before they could get onboard a retrieval boat to infiltrate the United Citizen Federation.
